Deadly Sins BBS

System History

The photo on the right is of the first computer that ran Deadly Sins BBS. It was a Tandy 1000HD (XT with a 10 meg hard drive). Later, I upgraded to a 20 meg external hard drive that didn't work (special thanks to Al James) and then I moved on to a external 40 meg drive.

As you can imagine running with a 10-40 meg hard drive would lead to space problems. So after awhile, we converted all of our ZIP files to ARJ files (to save space) and eventually we upgraded to a 386. In later years, we upgraded the system to a 486 running OS/2, we added a two Pioneer-DRM400X CDROM changers (total of 8 CDROM drives) and we switched software from running QuickBBS to Remote Access and then (finally) to ProBoard.
